my 'two cents'
Commonwealth shuns away from some of the punk influence that was so evident in their prior two albums. Rather, they grasp for more diverse influences such as modern rock, emo, et cetera. One could describe this album as an occasionally happy, usually meloncholy eclectic mesh of (but not limited to) Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate, and the Foo Fighters. One of my favorite albums.
