The Spark . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The CD "The Spark" by Plankeye is raw but controlled. When I bought it i had heard one song from my friend he had a tape of this, I already had Commonwealth and my friend showed me his tape, I listened to it, it was cool, they are much harder on spark but the song that really hooked me was track #7 "Wings To Fly" it was the coolest song i have ever heard by a Christian artist, "The Spark" contains alot of styles. Like hardcore (tonight) to soft rock (three fold chord). I think Spark is the over all best Plankeye album. [end of transmission]

They started the set off with B.C. and then played Whisper To Me, a couple of the best songs off of the Commonwealth CD. Next they played Open House off of The Spark. This song is awesome live, Especially when they say, "But words aren't good enough for me". Next they played Struck By The Chord. They then played a song off of the their first Cd, but I can't remember the name (I think it is called Four something, sorry). Everybody left the stage except for Scott, who played Questions off of The Spark. Great version. In this whole mix they played a couple of new songs, one which I know is called Playground. They said that their new album will be out in October, I can't wait. The best part of the show by far was when they played a cover of the Prayer Chain's "58". All in all I give it four and a half stars out of five. [end of transmission]

My experience of seeing Plankeye for the 5th time is what I relay
to you now.
It was a sunny day in Peaster, Texas. About 1500 people or so had shown
up to the Tooth and Nail festivities. About 12 bands were participating.
Several Punk and hardcore bands started things off. At about 7:30 The
great ones came to the stage. If you have not yet seen Plankeye in Concert
you must do so. They started things off with B.C. Distorted and full of
emotion, the band pounded out their big hit. I was so enthraled by the mosh
pit I lost count of the songs. but the highlights wre from prievious
albums. They even did a Prayer Chain Cover! This show was full of variety. On the
last song, Scott pulled out what seemed to be a flying V guitar. I'm not
sure, but it was really beautiful. The song was AWESOME!!Most of it was a
blur, but I do remember at the end hearing a weird weezing coming from the
speakers. I look up to see scott SMASH his guitar on the stage and
fling it about.
That was a day I will never forget. God blessed every one that
night. Thank you Scott, Eric, Adam and Luis. [end of transmission]

The concert rocked! Plankeye has always ruled! The whole sound of the concert was a little low-ended, but the whole execution was good! They played for about 45 min or so. They set up early so when "Sixpence" went off stage they just walked on. It was one of the few concerts everyone was involved in! A 9.5! [end of transmission]
